AFCAT-1 2017 Notification~ IAF Common Admission Test Form, Syllabus:

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is looking forward to release the latest notification with respect to the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT-1) – 2017 at its official website very soon. The Indian Air Force will ask for the online application from the Male Candidates with regards to the posts of Flying Branch, Technical and Ground Duty Branches. Aspirants will be soon able to upload the notification at the official website and aspirant then will be able to fill the online application form through the official website till the last date of form submission.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) which is also known as IAF will be going to issue the recruitment advertisement with respect to recruitment of energetic and eligible candidates in Flying Branch, Technical and Ground Duty Branches through the Air Force Common Admission Test and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) for the course commencing in the January 2018. Aspirants from so long are waiting for online application. We would like to submit hereby that the application form link will be mentioned and candidates will be able to apply online. In the month of December, 2016 the official notification with regards to the AFCAT shall be released at the official website of IAF.

AFCAT-1 2017 Online Application Form

Branch Age Limits Relaxation
Flying Branch Age of the candidates must be in between 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2018
Technical Branch Age of the aspirant must be in between 20 to 26 years as on 1st January, 2018
Ground Duty Branches Same as above in Technical branch

Educational Qualification Required:

Branch Educational Qualification
Flying Branch Candidates must have Graduated in any stream from a recognized University and must have got at least 60% marks in aggregate (in all papers) and must have passed 10+2 with Maths and Physics or have done BE / B.Tech degree from a recognized University with min 60% marks in aggregate.
Technical Branch 1.      Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Applicants registering for AE (L) branch should have done 4 year degree from a recognized University.

2.      Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates Selected AE (M) must have done a minimum of 4 years degree qualification from a recognized University

Ground Duty Branches Administration & Logistics

Candidates must have done Graduate Degree in any discipline with 60% marks or more marks or have done Post Graduate Degree or equivalent Diploma in any discipline with 50% or more marks.

Accounts

Candidates should have graduated in Commerce with at least 60% or more marks aggregate or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) / CA / ICWA with a 50% or more aggregate marks.

Education

Should have completed Post Graduate diploma with min 50% or more marks in aggregate marks.

Physical Standards Required:

Branch Physical Standards
Flying Branch Minimum height: 162.5 cm with correlated weight, Leg Length: Min – 99 cm. Max – 120 cm. Thigh Length: Max – 64 cm .Sitting Height: Min – 81.5 cm. Max – 96 cm.
Technical Branch Minimum Height: Men – 157.5 Cm with correlated weight
Ground Duty Branches Minimum Height: Men – 157.5 Cm with correlated weight.

AFCAT-1 2017 Apply Online

  1. First of all the candidates would be required to visit official career website of AIF.
  2. Click on the “Candidate Login” and follow the instruction.
  3. Fill all the input fields and submit it to get the registration number.
  4. Carefully note down the provided Registration number for the future purposes.
  5. Now click on the link which says “Apply Online for the AFCAT 1/2017”.
  6. Enter all details with respect to the educational and personal asked by the online application.
  7. Pay the required fee and upload the scanned copy of recent passport size photograph of yourself and signature.
  8. Submit all the details.
  9. Take a print of application form which may be required in future.

Notification-AFCAT-2017

Selection Procedure of AFCAT 1/2017:

  1. Candidates who have met the eligibility criteria and submitted their online application carefully will be called for the AFCAT and EKT test (applicable only for Technical Branch) on the date which will be soon notified to the candidates.
  2. Candidates who will shortlisted on the basis of AFCAT marks will be called for the further testing at one of Air Force Selection Board (AFSB). The testing will be consist three stages.
  3. Stage-I Test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other tests will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing. All Stage-I qualified candidates would be subjected to document check to ascertain their eligibility for the branches applied for. Those candidates who either do not qualify in Stage-I testing or do not meet the required eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself.
  4. Stage-II testing consisting of Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview will be conducted on subsequent days (Five Days).
  5. Candidates who have applied for the flying branch will have to give the CPSS (Computerized Pilot Selection System) and Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT)

Exam Pattern and the Syllabus of AFCAT-1 2017

The Question paper of AFCAT will be objective type and carry 100 questions. Each question carries 3 marks for the correct answers and 1 marks will be deducted from the correct answer as a penalty for wrong answers. 2 hours will be available to the candidates to complete the examination of AFCAT.

Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

AFCAT-1 Admit Card 2017

The Candidates can download the exam admit card before the examination through the official portal of the IAF. They will upload the AFCAT-1 2017 Admit card before two weeks from the examination at the official portal.
