The Andhra Bank Recruitment Board (ABRB) to release within ONE WEEK upon conclusion of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination scheduled to be held on the 27th of December 2015 (27.12.2015) in various cities of the country.

The Andhra Bank Selection Board (ABSE) to declare in January 2016 the Result of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test to be conducted in Online Mode. Andhra Bank shall declare the Result of the Written Part for selection of the Candidates for One (01) Year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (OYPGDBF) Course subsequent to publishing of the Final Optical Mark Recognition Based Answers Sheet / Answers Keys in January 2016.

The Final Merit List for Selection would be on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the Online Test, Group discussion (GD) and Personal Interview.

The Candidates selected on the bases of their respective performance and marks scored by them IN AGGREGATE in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test, Group Discussion and Personality Test shall be selected for Training for a period of One (01) Year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Course (OYPGDBFC). Upon Successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Course would be regularized as Probationary Officers (POs),

Andhra Bank would determine the Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks while announcing the Result of the Online Examination to be held on 27/12/22015. The Candidates shall have to secure Minimum Qualifying Marks in each Test of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination and Total Minimum Total against 200 Marks as advertised in the Andhra Bank’s Notification. There shall be Negative Mark for each wrong Answers submitted to the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions by the candidates.

Andhra Bank, based on the candidates’ performance and marks obtained in the OMR based Written Test, to shortlist them for Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview for induction / intake against Un-Reserved: 101; Other Backward Classes: 54, Scheduled Caste: 30 & Scheduled Tribe: 15 Posts = 200 Posts.

Selection Process:

The Candidates shall be selected through a Selection Process consisting of an (Open) Online Examination followed by the Personal Interview.

The Selection Process aims at getting the applicants who are likely to succeed in various roles in the Bank. The endeavor is to select the persons who are bright, have good communication skills (both in Oral and Written), are dedicated, might work effectively in the teams, are passionate about their Career Goals and who display integrity and a positive attitude towards the Banking services.

The Candidates are required to obtain Minimum Scores in each Test and also Minimum Total Score in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test through Online to be shortlisted for interview. The Candidates shall be shortlisted for Personality Test / Personal Interview depending on the number of vacancies in each Category, Expected Minimum Cut-off in each Test and the Online Test as decided by the Andhra Bank Recruitment Board.

Wrong answers in the Objective Response Sheet Optical Mark Recognition Based Response Sheet will attract negative marks (¼th of Marks assigned to that Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions) for the Online Objective Test. Along with the Call Letters, Information Handout and a Sample Test shall also be uploaded on the Bank’s Website, which the candidates might take to familiarize themselves with the nature of the Online Test & the Multiple Choice Questions.

Personal Interview

The Aggregate Marks of the candidates having qualified in the Online Test will be arranged in descending order in each Category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 5 times the number of Intake in each Category, would be called for Personal Interview.

The Qualifying Marks in the Personal Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

The Final Merit List for Selection would be on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the Online Test, Group discussion (GD) and Personal Interview.

Andhra Bank would publish on the AB Website the Result of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test.
