A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which is also known as B.Ed is an Undergraduate Professional Degree which develop students to work as a teacher/tutor in schools or in other educational institution, but some teaching jobs as per the requirements other courses must have be done in order be qualified to teach as teacher in a specific subject.
B.Ed Exam University Exam Schedule 2017-18
A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree is made mandatory if a person want to teach students at the secondary classes and higher secondary classes in Government and possibly in private schools too. The minimum qualification necessary for taking admission into the B.Ed. course is that they must have done their graduation in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Bachelor of Commerce. Students from the Arts stream will be able to teach the subjects like History, Civics, Geography, and languages, the students from Science stream will be able to teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and others science related subjects and the candidates from the commerce stream will be able to teach the subjects of Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and other commerce related subjects.
Most of the universities which have the courses of Education also provide the course of B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree. Some time ago B.Ed degree is used to be of one year but according to some notifications and news from the Indian and State Government. B.Ed has been made a two year course. In Some university it is teach as yearly and in some it is teach as semester wise. At the end of each Semester University held the examination for the evaluation of the knowledge related to those particular subjects. Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed) degree holds the distinction of Internship programme. The Universities and their affiliated colleges provide the students the opportunity to teach the students of schools in for some month before the B.Ed’s final examination. These internship programme also carry marks which included in the final examination.
The course duration is decided as two years. After the successful completion of B.Ed, students can proceed to pursue the Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in any Indian university or teacher-training institutes providing the course. The National Council for Teacher Education is the statutory body which regulating the teacher training courses in India.
