The Canara Bank (CB) has invited Online Application Forms from the Indian nationals for recruitment of i) Manager-Security in Middle Management Grade Scale-II & ii) Chief Customer Service Officer (Internal Ombudsman) on Contract Basis.

The Canara Bank (CB), Online Registration for the above stated Posts is in progress.

The Deadline in respect of Post No. ONE is the 3rd of August 2015 (03.08.2015).

The Last Date in regard to Post No. TWO is the 1st of August 2015 (01.08.2015).

Selection Criteria:

Final Selection of the Candidate for the FIRST Post shall be in order of Merit that would be on the basis of Shortlisting and Group Discussion and / or Personal Interview. The Interview carries Maximum 100 Marks. The Candidates belonging to different Categories have to secure the Minimum Qualifying Marks / Minimum Percentage of Marks as 01) General Candidates / Unreserved: 55% or more AND SC / ST / OBC: 50%.

Manager-Security in Middle Management Grade Scale-II:

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit (As On 01.07.2015):

Minimum 25 Years & Maximum 40 Years (Inclusive of All Relaxations)

Educational Qualification:

The Candidate should be Graduate in any discipline from any University recognized by the Government of India or any other Equivalent Qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Experience:

A Candidate with Five (05) Years of the Commissioned Service in the Army / Navy / Air Force and not under the Rank of Captain or Equivalent or an Officer not below the Rank of Assistant Commandant with Five (05) Years’ service in Para Military Forces.

Essential Qualification:

Operating and Working Knowledge in Computer Systems.  The Candidate must already possess the Computer Literacy or in case the Candidate does not have the required Computer Literacy, then he / she has to acquire the Knowledge of the Computer Operation within Six (06) Months of having joined Canara Bank.

Hindi Knowledge:

The Candidate must already have or should acquire the Working Knowledge of Hindi (if not already possessed) before completion of the Probation Period.

General / OBC / Others: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only).

Qualifications:

Retired General Manager / Deputy General Manager from any Scheduled Commercial Bank other than Canara Bank. The Applicant could be a superannuated or voluntary retired employee and should have retired as on 01.07.2015.

Work Experience:

Canara Bank stipulates the following conditions for the Candidates likely to be selected for the said Post as hereunder:

The Applicant should necessarily have exposure in working of more than Three (03) areas of operations in Banking, such as, General Banking, Credit, FOREX Operations, Treasury, Government Business, Merchant Banking, Credit Card Operations etc.

Period of Contract:

Such Candidates would be purely contractually engaged in nature for a period of Three (03) years, extendable as per Suitability Criteria.

Canara Bank Management also reserves its right to terminate the contract on the grounds of alleged acts, if any, observed, which might be detrimental to the interest of the Bank.

Selection Procedure:

The procedure for engagement of Chief Customer Service Officer on Contract will be by way of Shortlisting and interview.

The Shortlisting and call for interview will be on the basis of the details provided by the candidates in the Application & Documents submitted along with the Application.

The Bank would be free to reject the Candidature of any Candidate at any stage of the Recruitment Process, if he / she is found to be ineligible and / or furnished incorrect or false Information / Certificates / Documents or has suppressed any material facts and the Fee paid by the ineligible candidates shall be forfeited.

Final selection of the Candidate would be based on the Marks secured by the candidate in the interview
