The Central Board of Secondary Education notified Fresh Dates in respect of the Central Teachers Eligibility Test, February 2017 scheduled to be held in February, 2017 that has been postponed.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is to release before February-end 2017 the Subject-wise Answers Key / Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet / Answers Key Code A, B, C, D / E, F,G & H / I, J, K & L / M, N, O & P /   P, Q, R & S Sets / W, X, Y & Z Series for Paper II & Paper I comprising the CTET Subject Papers, as described here under:

  • to declare in April 2017 the Results of the CTET, February 2017 followed by publication of the Final Answers Key of Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 conducted in February 2017. .

The Central Board of Secondary Education states in regards to release and issuance of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet / Answers Keys as in the subsequent Paragraphs.  

CTET Weeding-Out-Rules 2017:

The records of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test including the Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet shall be preserved up to Two (02) months from the Date of declaration of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, February 2017 Result in accordance with the Central Board of Secondary Education Examination Weeding Out Rules. Thereafter, it will be disposed of as per Weeding Out Rules.

CTET Copy Of Omr Sheet/Answer Key 2017:

The Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet and the Answers Key of the CTET Examination would be displayed on the Central Board of Secondary Education’s Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Official Website for which a Public Notice will be issued in all the leading newspapers. The Candidates might download the same in the given stipulated time.

Thereafter the Candidates might also seek a photocopy of their respective OMR Answer Sheet of the CTET by paying Fee of Rs. 500/- per Optical Mark Recognition, by way of Demand Draft in favor of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn on any Nationalized Bank and payable in Delhi.

CTET Cut Off Marks 2017:

In order to get CTET Certificate, the candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks set by the CBSE, which is known as the CTET Cut off marks.

As per NCTE notification: A person who scores 60% or more in the CTET exam will be considered as CTET pass.

CTET Merit List 2017:

CTET Merit List will be prepared on the basis of written examination. The candidates, who score high will be able to spot their position at the top. The candidates will be appointed on the basis of merit list means the person at the top position in the merit list will get an appointment first, so all the candidates are anxiously waiting for CTET Merit List 2017 for February Exam.

CTET Applicability 2017:

  1. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) shall apply to the Schools of the Central Government [Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Central Tibetan Schools (CTS), etc.] and the Schools under the Administrative Control of the Union Territories (UTs) of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli (DNH), Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands (DDANIs), Lakshadweep and the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCTD).
  2. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test may also apply to the Un-Aided Private Schools (UAPS), who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
  3. The Schools owned and managed by the State Governments / Local Bodies and the Aided Schools shall consider the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government might also consider the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, if it decides not to conduct the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET).
  4. According to the Central Board of Secondary Education Affiliation Bye-Law 53, prescribing the Minimum Qualifications for the Teachers to teach various Subjects in Classes I to VIII in the Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stands amended to that extent and it shall be mandatory that the Teachers appointed hereinafter, i.e., the 6th of March 2012 (06.03.2012) to teach the Ist to VIIIth Classes in the Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education shall have to qualify / pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by the appropriate Central / State Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for this purpose.
