The Haryana Staff Selection Commission would bring Quicker Update in respect of both the Haryana Staff Selection Commission notified Date for issuance of the Admission Certificates / Admission Letters and the Schedule for Haryana Staff Selection Commission Clerks Grade Aptitude Test in Optical Mark Recognition Format.
Advice on Detailed Syllabus:
The Haryana SSC Clerks Grade Competitive Examination, 2015 shall consisting of a) General Intelligence, General Knowledge & Clerical Aptitude; b) English Language; c) Numerical Aptitude and d) General Awareness Papers with 200 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions with Two (02) Hours’ duration followed by Typewriting Test and Viva-voce / Personal Interview shall be based on
|General Intelligence and Clerical Aptitude||
shall include the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions of both Verbal and Non-Verbal Type. The Test would include the Multiple Choice Questions on Analogies, Similarities And Differences, Space Visualization, Problem-Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision-Making, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal and Figure Classification, Arithmetical Number Series, Non-Verbal Series, etc. The Written Examination will also include the Multiple Choice Questions designed to test the candidates’ ability to deal with Abstract Ideas and Symbols and their relationships, Arithmetical Computations and other Analytical Functions.
Clerical Aptitude is designed to test the candidates’ perceptual accuracy and aptitude. This is the ability to notice similarities and differences between pairs of names and numbers. The Multiple Choice Questions in Clerical Aptitude will also assess, in addition to perceptual accuracy and aptitude, the ability to handle Office Routine work, like Filing, Abbreviating, Indexing, etc.
|English Language||The Multiple Choice Questions in this Test will be set to assess the Candidates’ knowledge about English Language, its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, etc. There will also be Multiple Choice Questions on comprehension of a Passage.|
|Numerical Aptitude||The Multiple Choice Questions would be designed to test the candidates’ ability in Arithmetical Computation of the Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between the Numbers. The questions would be based on Arithmetical Concepts and relationship between the Numbers and not on complicated Arithmetical Computation.|
The Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions would be designed to test the ability of the candidates’ General Awareness of the environment around him / her and its application to Society. The Multiple Choice Questions would also be designed to test the candidates’ knowledge of Current Affairs and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect, as may be expected of an Educated Person. An Elementary Knowledge of the Computers will also be ascertained.
The Test will also include the Multiple Choice Questions relating to India and her neighboring countries, especially those information, which are related to History, Geography, Culture, Economic Scenario, Polity and Scientific Research.
|Note: Only those candidates who Qualify in all the Four tests with the HSSC determined Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks / Minimum Percentage of the Marks would be considered eligible for being called for the ‘Typewriting Tests’. The Haryana SSC would have the full discretion to fix the minimum qualifying marks in each of the four Tests of HSSC Clerical Aptitude Test.|
It shall consist of one paper of ‘Running Matter’ of 10 Minutes duration. The Typewriting Test will be a Qualifying Test only.
Only such candidates that qualify in the TYPEWRITING Test with a speed of not less than 30 words per minute in English or not less than 25 words per minute in Hindi with Maximum / Higher Accuracy would be considered Eligible to be recommended for appointment as Lower Division Clerks in the Central Secretariat and its Attached / Subordinate Offices, etc.

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has prescribed the following Procedure for Selection of the Candidates through: Haryana Staff Selection Commission Written Aptitude Test followed by Typewriting, Verification / Scrutiny-cum-Personal interview;
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission shall shortlist the candidates for Personal Interview by holding a Written Examination.
The printed copy of the Online Application Form with necessary Certificates must be brought at the time of Verification / Scrutiny-cum-Personal interview.
- All Original Certificates / Documents / Testimonials of the Educational Qualifications and other documents mentioned in the Online Applications and one set of Self-Attested Copies of all these Certificates.
- Printed Copy of the Online Application Form along with the Latest Stamp Size Photograph duly attested by a Gazetted Officer and pasted on the Application Form.
- Original Proof of earlier Fee deposited, i.e., Treasury Challan / Credit Certificate issued by the Concerned Treasury, etc.
