Taking cognizance of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Notification in respect of issuance of the Provisional Allotment Letters (PALs) for Recruitment to the Posts of Officers Scale I / Officers Scale (General Banking Officer) II / Officers Scale (Specialist Cadre) II / Officers Scale III would state in the subsequent Paragraphs.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Online Registration for Officers Scale I / Officers Scale (General Banking Officer) II / Officers Scale (Specialist Cadre) II / Officers Scale III commences on the 14th of September 2016 (14.09.2016) with the Deadline for Online Application Forms closing on the 30th of September 2016 (30.09.2016).  Payment of the Application Fee / Examination Fee / Intimation Charges also shall progress with Online Registration Schedule (ORS).

Selection Criteria:

Those Candidates who would have secured Sufficient Qualifying Marks / Maximum Marks both in the Main Online Examination and Personal Interview / Viva-voce shall be recommended for award of Provisional Allotment Letters in the Nationalized Rural Banks / Cooperative Banks.

Procedure for Selection:

  1. Online Preliminary Examination: The Candidates scoring Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks Section wise and In Aggregate would be shortlisted for the subsequent Main Examinations.
  2. Main Objective Examination: The Candidates scoring Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks Section wise and In Aggregate in the Main Examinations, would be shortlisted and intimated for the Personal Interview / Viva-voce.
  3. Personal Interview / Viva-voce Only Candidates having Sufficient High Marks / Maximum Marks both in the Main Online Examination and Personal Interview would be considered As Meritlisted And Recommended For Award Of Provisional Allotment Letters.

IBPS CWE RRB-V Exam Call Letter 2016

We look forward to the Office of the Director, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to upload Ten Days prior to the Date of the IBPS Officer Scale I Online Preliminary Examination the e-Admission Certificates / Hall Examination Tickets on the IBPS Website.

The Director, Examination Cell has scheduled the Online Preliminary (Objective Type) Examination for Officer Scale-I (i.e., the 5th & 6th of November 2016) Online Preliminary Examination in Objective Format for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) shall be conducted on the 12th, 13th and 19th of November 2016, which might be extended depending on the Number of the Candidates appearing in the Online Preliminary Objective Examination, (if required).

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has stated in respect of the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (RRBs-CWE-V) for Recruitment of Group ‘A’ – Officers (Scale – I / II / III) and Group ‘B’ Office Assistants (Multipurpose):

Penalty For Wrong Answers:

(Applicable To All – Preliminary, Main And Single Level Examinations)

There will be Penalty for Wrong Answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each Multiple Choice Questions for which a Wrong Answer has been given by the Candidate One-fourth ¼th  or 0.25 of the Marks assigned to that Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions would be deducted as Penalty to arrive at the Corrected Score. If any Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions is left blank, i.e., no Answer is marked by the Candidate; then there will be no Penalty for that Multiple Choice Questions.

Selection Procedure
Office Assistants (Multipurpose)

Each Candidate will be required to obtain Minimum Score in each Sectional Test of Online Main Examination to be considered for Shortlisting for Provisional Allotment. Depending on the number of the Vacancies available in each State, the candidates shall be Shortlisted for Provisional Allotment.

Officers Scale I

Each candidate will be required to obtain Minimum Score in each Sectional Test of the Online Main Examination to be considered for Shortlisting for Personal Interview. Depending on the number of the Vacancies available, adequate number of the Candidates in each Category not exceeding Three Times of the Vacancies declared in each State shall be summoned / called for Personal Interview, subject to availability of thereof.

Prior to the completion of Personal Interview Process, the Scores obtained in the Online Main Examination would not be shared with the Candidates shortlisted for Interview.

Officers Scale II and III

Each Candidate will be required to obtain Minimum Score in each Sectional Test of Online Single Examination to be considered as Shortlisted for Personal Interview.

Depending on the number of the vacancies available, adequate number of the Candidates in each Category not exceeding Three Times of the vacancies declared shall be summoned for Personal Interview, subject to availability thereof. Prior to the completion of the Interview Process, the Scores secured in the Online Main Examination would not be shared with the Candidates, shortlisted for Personal Interview.

Mere passing in Individual Section-wise Tests may not be sufficient as the Candidates should also score Sufficiently High on Total in order of the Merit to be called for Personal Interviews / Provisional Allotment. Decision of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection on Shortlisting and calling the numbers of the Candidates for Common Interview / Provisional Allotment shall be Final and binding on them.

Common Written Examination Score:

The corrected Scores obtained by each of the Candidates in different Sessions (if held) would be normalized using Equi-Percentile Method.

Scores up to two Decimal Points shall be taken for the purpose of Calculation.

FOR THE POSTS OF OFFICE ASSISTANTS (MULTIPURPOSE) – THE MARKS OBTAINED ONLY IN THE MAIN EXAMINATION WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR FINAL MERIT-LISTING.

FOR THE POSTS OF OFFICERS SCALE I – THE MARKS OBTAINED ONLY IN THE MAIN EXAMINATION SHALL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLISTING FOR PERSONAL INTERVIEW AND FINAL MERIT-LISTING.

FOR THE POSTS OF OFFICERS SCALE II (GENERALIST AND SPECIALIST) AND SCALE III – THE MARKS OBTAINED ONLY IN THE SINGLE LEVEL EXAMINATION WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLISTING FOR PERSONAL INTERVIEW AND FINAL MERIT-LISTING.

IN THE EVENT OF TWO OR MORE CANDIDATES HAVING OBTAINED EQUAL SCORES / MARKS, MERIT ORDER IS DECIDED AS PER THE DATE OF BIRTH (THE CANDIDATE SENIOR IN AGE IS PLACED BEFORE/ ABOVE THE CANDIDATE JUNIOR IN AGE), AS PER THE PREVAILING PRACTICE.  

Regional Rural Banks (RRBs): (RRBs – Common Written Examination – V) for Recruitment of Group ‘A’-Officers (Scale – I, II & III) and Group ‘B’ – Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in November and December 2016.

Provisional Allotment:

On completion of the Interview Process / Main Examination, depending on the Vacancies to be filled in as per the Business needs of the Regional Rural Banks and as reported to the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, the Candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Regional Rural Banks based on Merit-cum-Preference keeping in view the spirit of the Government Guidelines on Reservation Policy, various Guidelines issued by Government of India / Others from time to time, Administrative Exigency, etc. No change in the Data already registered by the Candidate in the Online Application Form is possible.

Identity Verification:

Documents To Be Produced At The Time of Personal Interview:

In the Examination Hall as well as at the time of Personal Interview, the Call Letters along with a Photocopy of the Candidate’s Photo Identity (bearing exactly the same Name as it appears on the Call Letter), such as, PAN Card / Passport / Driving License  / Voter’s Card / Bank Passbook with photograph / Photo Identity Proof issued by a Gazetted Officer / People’s Representative along with a Photograph / Identity Card issued by a recognized College / University / Aadhar Card with a Photograph / Employee ID should be submitted to the Invigilator for Verification. The Candidate’s Identity will be verified with respect to his / her details on the Call Letter, in the Attendance List and requisite documents submitted. If identity of the Candidate was in doubt, then he / she may not be allowed to appear for the Examination / Personal Interview.

  • Ration Card will not be accepted as a Valid Id Proof for this Project.
  • In case of the Candidates who have changed their respective Names, will be allowed only if they produce Original Gazette Notification / their Original Marriage Certificate / Affidavit in Original.

List of Documents to be produced at the time of Interview / Joining (As Applicable):

The following Documents in original and Self-Attested Photocopies in support of the Candidate’s Eligibility and Identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of Interview/ Joining failing which the Candidate may not be permitted to appear for Personal Interview. Non-submission of the Requisite Documents by the Candidate at the time of Personal Interview will debar his Candidature from further participation in the Common Recruitment Process (CRP).

  1. Printout of the Valid Interview Call Letter.
  2. Valid System Generated Printout of the Online Application Form registered for the Common Written Examination Regional Rural Banks – V.
  3. Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Municipal Authorities or Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) / Standard X Certificate along with the Date of Birth – DoB).
  4. Photo Identify Proof as indicated in Point L of the Advertisement.
  5. Mark-sheets & Certificates for Graduation or Equivalent Qualification, etc. Proper Document released / issued by the Board / University for having declared the Result on or before 30.09.2016 has to be submitted.
  6. Experience Certificates (as on 30.09.2016), if applicable.
  7. Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed Format as stipulated by Government of India in the case of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Classes Category Candidates. The Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes Category but coming under the Creamy Layer (CL) and / or if their respective Caste does not find place in the Central List are not entitled to Other Backward Classes Reservation. They should indicate their Category as General in the Online Application Form.
  8. Disability Certificate in the Prescribed Format issued by the District Medical Board (DMB) in case of Persons with Disability Category. If the Candidate has used the services of a Scribe at the time of the Common Written Examination, then duly filled-in details of the Scribe in the Prescribed Format

For the Posts of Officers: An Ex-Serviceman Candidate has to produce a copy of the Service or Discharge Book along with Pension Payment Order (PPO) and Documentary Proof of the Rank Last / Presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the time of Personal Interview.

Those who are still in Defense Service should submit a Certificate from issued by the Competent Authority that they will be relieved from the Defence Services, on or before 29.09.2017.

Please note that failure to provide this Certificate will result in immediate Disqualification. The Regional Rural Banks will not be in any position to waive this condition.  The Candidates falling in this Category are well are advised to apply for this Certificate at the earliest to avoid disqualification.

For the Post of Office Assistants: Ex-Servicemen Candidates: (i) The Candidates who are released / retired from Armed Forces are required to submit a Certificate as per Proforma A. Such Ex-Servicemen Candidates have to produce a copy of the Discharge Certificate / Pension Payment Order and Documentary Proof of the Rank Last / Presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the time of Personal Interview. (ii) The Candidates who are still in the Armed Forces and are desirous of applying under Ex-Servicemen Category should submit Proforma B issued by the Competent Authority showing his / her Date of Completion of the Specific Period of Engagement (SPE) along with the Declaration in Proforma C. Such candidates whose SPE is completed on or before 29.09.2017 are Eligible to apply. Such Candidates have to submit a Release Letter and a Self-Declaration from the Candidate that he / she is entitled to the Benefits admissible to Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India Rules (iii) Those Candidates who have completed their initial Period Of Assignment and who are on Extended Assignment are required to submit the Certificate as per Proforma D. (iv) Dependents of the Servicemen Killed in Action (DSKIA) or those who have been Severely Disabled have to produce Satisfactory Documentary Proof showing that they are Dependents of Servicemen killed in Action or severely disabled and an Affidavit stating that the relaxation is availed by one dependent of Ex-Service Men or not availed by any Dependent of Servicemen Killed In Action or severely Disabled.

Candidates serving in Government / Quasi Government Offices / Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) (including Nationalized Banks and Financial Institutions Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions) are required to produce a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) from their Employer at the time of Interview, in the absence of which their Candidature will not be considered and Travelling Expenses (TE), if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid. The No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) should not be issued for appearing in Interview for Selection to any particular Participating Organization as the Common Recruitment Process is for all Participating Organizations. Participating Organisations. Production of such conditional NOCs at the time of Interview will not be considered and such candidates will not be permitted to participate in the Interview / will not be considered for further Selection Process.

The Persons Eligible for Age Relaxation under II (6) must produce the Domicile Certificate at the time of Interview / at any Stage of the subsequent Process from the District Jurisdiction where he / she had ordinarily resided or any other Authority designated in this regard by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 1.12.1989.

The Persons Eligible for age Relaxation under II (7) must produce a Certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons sanctioned by the Government and communicated vide Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Financial Services communication No.F.No.9/21/2006-IR dated 27.07.2007.

The Persons falling in the Categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) of Point B (I) should produce the Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Any other relevant Documents in support of Eligibility.
