IIT Madras JAM M.Sc Admission Registration Form 2016 Eligibility,Syllabus:

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras is organizing the Joint Admission Test for Admission into the M.Sc. JAM is a National Level Test for Admission to Integrated Ph.D. Degree programmes at IISc Bangalore (IISc) and M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, M.Sc.-M.Tech., M.Sc.- M.S.(Research)/Ph.D. Dual Degree and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at IITs [Bhubaneswar (IITBBS), Bombay (IITB), Delhi (IITD), Gandhinagar (IITGN), Guwahati (IITG), Hyderabad (IITH), Indore (IITI), Jodhpur (IITJ), Kanpur (IITK), Kharagpur (IITKgp), Madras (IITM), Roorkee (IITR), Ropar (IITRPR)] for the Session 2016-2017.

IIT Madras JAM M.Sc Online Registration 2016

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras examination of Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) is scheduled to be conducted on 7th February, 2016. Candidates who were waiting for the official advertisement/Notification for the same can now start downloading it from the official website of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Candidates can start applying for the JAM-2016 test from 2nd September and the last date to pay the payment of application fee through e-challan is 10th October, 2015. Candidate who will apply for the JAM test, the last date of Online Application Submission and Uploading of Documents on the Website is 14th October, 2015. Admit card/Exam hall tickets/Exam Call letters for the same examination will be available for downloading from the 31st December, 2015 till the exam date. The examination of JAM will be conducted on 7th February, 2016 and the result of same shall be released on 23rd March, 2016.

Educational Qualification:

  1. Candidates should have Graduation/Bachelor Degree.
  2. Candidates of General Category should have secured minimum 55% aggregates marks without rounding off counting all subjects and candidates of SC/ST and PwD categories should have secured 50% marks without rounding off counting all subjects in qualifying degree examinations.

Admission Procedure:

Admission for the above courses in the IISc Banglore and IITs for the academic session 2016-17 will be made on the basis of all India Merit List of JAM 2016. Candidates can apply for the either one or two test papers as according to their interest. Candidates who will qualify in these papers will be eligible for the admission for the above courses. After the declaration of result of JAM, qualified candidates shall be required to apply to the Organizing Institute (IIT Madras) specifying their preferences for the programmes for which the admission is required. Candidates should note that being in the merit list of any test paper neither guarantees nor provides any automatic entitlement for admission. After the submission of application form for the admission, the organizing institute IIT, Madras will upload the 1st, 2nd and 3rd admission list on its official website.

Examination Pattern, syllabus and Previous Year Questions Papers:

Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) is national level test which contain seven papers of different subject. All papers are of objective type with three different pattern question namely (i) multiple choice questions (MCQ), (ii) multiple select questions (MSQ), and (iii) numerical answer type (NAT) questions. Three hours of duration will be available to students to complete the examination. The examination will be conduct in Online mode only. How to apply online:

Candidates who are interested to apply for JAM-2016 can start applying online, submitting their application form and uploading required documents in between 2nd September to 14th October, 2015. For applying online candidates need to be visit official website of JAM and then search for the link for applying online for JAM-2016 and submit the application form and pay the application fee thorough challan on time.
