Indian Coast Guard Navik (General Duty) 10+2 Entry Test Admit Card 2017:

The Indian Coast Guard Ministry of Defence would generate the e-Admit Cards for Indian Coast Guard (Navik) (General Duty) – 02/2017 for the candidates. The Candidates are advised to log into the Indian Coast Guard Website for downloading the Navik (General Duty) Hall Tickets. Navik (GD)-02/2017 Batch can download their individual Application Form Post-Allotment from July 2017 through the Indian Coast Guard Website.

Indian Coast Guard (Navik) (GD) Written Examination, 2017

Indian Coast Guard is likely to announce very shortly the exact date for conducting Indian Coast Guard (Navik) Written Examination, 2017. Indian Coast Guard is likely to hold an All India Combined Written Examination in August / September 2017.  We are watching out for the Indian Coast Guard Notice in this respect and would display on our website www.edunewsportal.in the Date of Navik Examination.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates is based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examination.  Indian Coast shall prepare a Merit List of the candidates.

Indian Coast Guard would intimate through the candidate’s personal email ID the exact Date, Time and Venue of the recruitment through in the month of July / August 2017.

Selection Procedure is as follows:

Short-listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of marks for a particular examination center.

The qualifying cut-off percentage of a particular center may be increased if the number of applications with higher percentage are received.

The written tests will be of objective type, which will generally cover subjects, such as, Mathematics, Physics, Basic Chemistry, Knowledge of English up to 12th standard, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.

The candidates who qualify the written tests will have to undergo Physical Fitness Test and Initial Medical Examination (Preliminary). The testing procedure will take 2-3 days. Only the candidates having qualified the Written Test shall be undergoing the Physical Fitness Test. The candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test will only be required to undergo initial recruitment medical examination at the respective recruitment centers or any other place as decided by the Coast Guard.

Based on the performance in the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination in a ratio as may be decided by Indian Coast Guard.

Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD) Merit List / Selection List 2017

The select list will be prepared out of the candidates who qualify in all the tests depending upon the available vacancies. The Zone wise select list of candidates will be displayed in the Indian Coast Guard Website in the month of January 2018. Indian Coast Guard shall prepare and display on its website the Zone wise Merit List instead of the Center wise List.

Final Enrolment Medical Examination:

Indian Coast Guard shall issue Call Letters to All select list candidates who will be issued with a call letter for Final Medical Examination will have to undergo Final Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka prior to enrolment. The candidates found ‘unfit’ during this medical examination will not be enrolled for training. No ‘appeal’ is permitted for review after the final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka. Medically unfit candidates will be returned home at their own expense.

Training:

The basic training will commence in February 2018 at INS Chilka followed by Sea Training and Professional Training in the allotted trade. Branch / Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of service and performance during the Basic Training. Naviks are liable to be discharged as UNSUITABLE due to unsatisfactory performance at any time during the training.
