The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Jharkhand State Nodal Agency is likely to release in September 2016 Detailed Notification in regard to the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2016 for awarding the Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate to the Candidates, thus, enabling them to teach the Primary Schools Level I Ist – Vth Standards and Elementary Schools / Upper Primary Schools Level II VIth – VIIIth Classes in the Schools affiliated to Jharkhand Academic Schools.  The General / Un-Reserved Candidates, in order to be considered as Merit listed, should secure Minimum 60% or Higher than 60% and other than the Un-Reserved Candidates, the Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes / Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Persons with Disabilities / Women should obtain Minimum 55% Marks for the same.

Jharkhand JTET Eligibility Criteria: 2016

The candidates having the Minimum Educational Qualifications are Eligible for appearing in Jharkhand State Teacher Eligibility Test (JS TET).

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary Certificate (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (By whatever Name known).

Or

Senior Secondary Certificate (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 45% Marks and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever Name Known), in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

Or

Senior Secondary Certificate (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Or

Senior Secondary Certificate (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Education (Special Education) (DESE)*.

Or

Graduation and passed or appearing in the Final Year of Two Years’ / 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (By whatever Name Known).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (By whatever Name Known).

Or

Graduation with at least 50% Marks and Passed or appearing in 01-Year’s Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Or

Graduation with at least 45% Marks and Passed or appearing in 01-Year’s Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Or

Senior Secondary Certificate (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Years’ Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Or

Senior Secondary Certificate (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Years’ B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Or

Graduation with Minimum 50% Marks and Passed or appearing in 01-Year’s B.Ed. (Special Education) (BESE)*.
