The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) through their Notification No. 10/2015 has invited Online Application Forms from the Jharkhand domiciled candidates in respect of the recruitment to the Post of Civil Judge (Junior Division) against Un-Reserved (23 Posts), Other Backward Classes I (05), Other Backward Classes II (01), Scheduled Caste (05), Scheduled Tribe (12) Total Posts 46.

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), Online Registration Schedule for the Posts shall commence on the 20th of November 2015 (20.11.2015) with the Deadline coming to an end on the 17th of December 2015 (17.12.2015) at 11:45 PM.
We would publish on our Website the Jharkhand Public Service Commission issued e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets for the upcoming JPSC Civil Junior Division) Preliminary Examination and also the Main Examination followed by the JPSC announced Result of the Civil Judge (Junior Division) Prelim Examination 2015.
Age Limit (As On 31.01.2015)
The Candidates belonging to General BC I & BC II Category II should have completed the age of 22 Years and but must not exceed the age of 35 Years
Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe there shall be relaxation of the upper age limit by 3 years.
The Applicant must hold a Degree in Law from a recognized University and enrolled as an advocate under the Advocates, Act, 1961 till last Date of Submission of application form. Valid registration is must.
Final Selection of the Candidate shall be strictly in order of Merit drawn up by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission based on the Sufficient High Marks / Higher Marks in aggregated secured by him / her both in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission held Civil Judge (Junior Division) Main Examination and Personality Test / Viva-voce.
Jharkhand Public Service Commission Civil Judge (Prelim) Examination of 100 Marks.
JPSC Civil Judge (Main) Examination consisting of 04 Papers each of 100 Marks and carrying 400 Marks in totality.
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission shall conduct the Preliminary Examination based on the following Syllabus:
The Syllabus for the Preliminary Entrance Test shall consist of:
(ii)General Knowledge (including Current Affairs)
(iii)The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.
(iv) The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
(v)The Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
(vi)The Law of Contract, 1872.
(vii) The Indian Penal Code, 1860.
The Main Examination shall be of Four (04) papers of 100 marks each comprising the questions on the following subjects:
(i) Procedural Law (The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 and The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973).
(ii) The Indian Penal Code, 1860.
(iii) The Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
(iv) The Limitation Act, 1963.
(i) The Contract Act, 1872
(ii) The Sales of Goods Act, 1930
(iii) The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881
(iv) The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
(v) The Transfer of Property Act, 1882
(i)The Hindu Law and The Mohammedan Law
(ii) Rent Control Law.
(iii)The Specific Relief Act, 1963
Paper IV (Language) Hindi & English (Essay, Precise writing, Translation & Paraphrase)
There shall be Viva-Voce Test of 100 marks.
In the Viva-Voce Test the minimum required Minimum Qualifying Marks would be 25% for the General category candidates and 20% for SC/ST/EBC & BC.
No candidates, irrespective of the marks obtained by him in the Main Examination, shall be eligible for selection for appointment, if he obtains less than minimum prescribed marks in the Viva-Voce.
