The Master of Science (M.Sc) which is habitually termed as M.Sc in short form is a 2 year Master Degree Course which lectured by certainly all Universities in the India. M.Sc further breaks down in four Semesters in some Universities and 2 years in some other university. There are various numbers of subjects and disciplines which are taught by the numerous universities. Students who want to take admission into the any course of M.Sc must have passed the graduation degree of B.Sc and B.Tech. Some Universities also follows to the integrated approach in which they taught the B.Sc and M.Sc together and course duration then becomes longer like 5 years.

The Master of Science (M.Sc), Most of the Universities in India in every state which teach the M.Sc course pursue the modern Semester system of conducting the examination at the end of each semester and teaching the curriculum during the academic session. So for convenience of the students they further divided the four semesters in the two groups Even Sems(2nd, 4th) and Odd (1st, 3rd) Sems. Examination time table/ date sheet for all even and odd semesters provided to the students by the universities online and at their notice boards of colleges too one month before the commencement of the examination.
But not the least Some University still follows the conventional yearly process (Part 1 and 2) of conducting the examination at the end of each academic session of year hence they conduct the examination twice. However, this practice is mostly prevalent in the Distance education.
