MP Postman | Mail Guard Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2016

The Department of Posts shall conduct the Postmen / Mail Guards Written Aptitude Test 2016 as detailed here under:

Selection Criteria:

The Department of Posts shall prepare separately Common Divisional Level Merit based on the candidates’ performance in the Aptitude Test from among the candidates having applied and declared Qualified to the Posts for the Division / Unit Concerned in Madhya Pradesh State.

Selection Procedure:

Final Selection shall be carried out as explained in the following Paragraphs notified by the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India in respect of the Postal Circles in Madhya Pradesh State.

The Minimum Qualifying Marks and Higher Marks obtained in the Aptitude Test by the candidates shall be considered to draw up merit for each Recruiting Division and Selection will be purely on Merit Basis.

Provided that SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates, who are selected on their respective Merit without Relaxed Standards, along with the candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the Reserved Share of the Vacancies.

Such SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates will be accommodated against the General / Un-Reserved Vacancies as per their individual position in the Merit List. The Reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the Eligible Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Physically Handicapped Candidates which will, thus, comprise the SC, ST, OBC and PH Candidates who are lower in Merit than the last General Candidate on the Merit List of the Un-Reserved Category but otherwise found suitable for appointment even by Relaxed Standard.

It is further stated:

  1. if two or more candidates secure Equal Marks in Aptitude Test and they are standing in the last position in the Merit List, then it is clearly stated that the Candidate senior in Age will be considered for Selection;
  2. if two or more candidates secure Equal Marks in Aptitude Test and they are standing in the Last Position in the Merit List & their respective ages are also the same, then the candidates who secured Higher Percentage in the Matriculation would be considered for Selection
