The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) through Advertisement No. 5105/OSSC Dated the 20th of November 2015 (20.11.2015) has invited the Online Applications from Male and Female Genders for recruitment to the Posts of Welfare Extension Officer (WEO) 106 Vacancies (out of which 35 No. of Posts reserved for Women) of Welfare Extension Officer under Scheduled Tribe & Scheduled Caste Development Department on Contractual Basis.

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), Online Registration for the Post of Welfare Extension Officer shall commence on the 27th of November 2015 (27.11.2015) with the Deadline closing on the 26th of December 2015 (26.12.2015).

Eligibility Riders (As On 01.01.2015):

Un-Reserved Category Candidates should be between Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 32 Years of Age. All other Reserved Class Candidates are advised to carefully read the OSSC’s Attached Advertisement to check out the Relaxation in Upper Age Limits applicable to them.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Commerce or Equivalent from any University Recognized by the Central Government / State Government.

The Candidate must have passed Odia Language Equivalent to the M.E. Standard.

Examination Fee:

For the Un-Reserved & Socially & Economically Backward Class Candidates Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Persons with Disabilities are exempted from the Examination Fee

Selection Procedure:

  1. Written Examination consisting of the Preliminary Examination and Main Examination; where Preliminary Examination of 100 Marks with Negative Marking of ¼ or 0.25 of Mark for each Wrong Answer to the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions and the Main Written Examination of 300 Marks consisting of 03 (Three) Papers with Paper I & Paper II comprising Descriptive Questions and Paper III containing Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions without Negative Marking.
  2. Career Assessment carrying 30 Marks shall be made on the basis of the Total Percentage of Marks + HSC, Plus 02 and Degree Examination each allotted to 10 Marks.
