TET Punajb Notification 2017 ~ PSTET 2017 Application Form ~ Syllabus :

PSTET 2017 – Online Registration: In view of State Council of Educational Research & Training (Punjab) Notification in the offing in the 1st Week of September 2017 in respect of Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 for Level I (Standard I – Class V) and Level II (Class VI – Class VIII) and both Primary and Upper Primary Level (Class I – Class VIII) as well as Primary and Upper Primary Levels.

we would briefly state with regard to Eligibility Criteria and S Examination for the ready reference of the Applicants keen to apply for the Teacher Eligibility Test for teaching in the State, Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria: 

As stipulated by the Government of Punjab in compliance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002:

The Candidates having the following Minimum Educational Qualification are Eligible for Appearing in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET).

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever Name known).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with at least 45% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever Name known), in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Years’ Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with at least 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Education (Special Education)* / (D.Ed.) (Spl. Edn.).

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma Two Years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever Name known).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever Name known).

OR

Graduation with Minimum 50% Marks and passed or appearing in 01-Year’s Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% Marks and passed or appearing in 01-Year’a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with at least 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Years’ Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Years’ B.A. / B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed / B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% Marks and passed or appearing in 01-Year’s Bachelor of Education (Special Education)* / B.Ed. (Spl. Edn).

Punjab TET 2017 Online Application Form 

  1. Relaxation up to 5% in the Qualifying Marks in the Minimum Educational Qualification for Eligibility to apply shall be allowed for the Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories, such as, Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes / Persons with Disabilities / Differently-Abled Persons.
  2. *Diploma / Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a Diploma / Degree Course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), any Course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
  3. Training to be undergone: Any Person with Diploma in Education (Special Education) (D.Ed. S.E.) or Bachelor of Education (Special Education) (B.Ed. SE) Qualification shall undergo, after Appointment an National Council for Teacher Education recognized 06-Months’ Special Program in Elementary Education.
  4. The Minimum Qualifications referred above apply to the Teachers of Languages, Social Studies / Social Science, Mathematics, Science, etc. In respect of Teachers for Physical Education, the Minimum Qualification Norms for Physical Education Teachers referred to in the National Council for Teacher Education Regulation, Dated 3rd of November 2001 (as amended from time to time) shall be applicable. For Teachers of Art Education, Craft Education, Home Science, Work Education, etc., the existing Eligibility Norms prescribed by the State Governments and other School Managements shall be applicable till such time the National Council for Teacher Education  lays down the Minimum Qualifications in respect of such Teachers.
  5. The Candidates, who are appearing in the Final Year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education, etc., are Provisionally Admitted and their respective Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) Certificate shall remain valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
  6. The Candidate not having any of the above Qualification shall not be eligible for appearing in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test.
